NEXT1KOAT final meeting, sponsored by the European Commission, took place on the 16th of February 2015 in the UK hosted by the British Pastics Federation at their facilities in London. Where the project results were analysed along with general discussions about the work performed within the project lifetime.
Next1Koat project partner ‘The British Plastic Federation’ (BPF) hosted the fifth meeting of the N1K consortium at their facilities in London the 4th November 2014
The fourth Consortium Meeting meeting of the NEXT1KOAT project consortium, sponsored by the European Commission, took place on the 22nd of April 2014 in Slovenia and was hosted by the Wood Industry Cluster at their facilities in Ljubljana. Where the project progress within the first Period (Jan 2013 – March 2014) was analysed.
The third meeting of the NEXT1KOAT project consortium, sponsored by the European Commission, took place on the 12th of December 2013 in Germany and was hosted by Fraunhofer WKI at their facilities in Braunschweig.
This meeting was for the project partners to each report on their progress and to discuss and plan the next phase of activities to the end of June 2014.
Following the individual progress reports covering technical, dissemination and exploitation activities it was confirmed that the deliverables expected in the first year of the project had been achieved. Considerable discussion on the wide aspects of the project and the next phase of development took place in respect of the hoped for benefits.
The NEXT1KOAT team were perfect hosts both formally and socially also affording all the members a detailed insight to the range of their research and development activities which clearly compliments the aims and objectives of project NEXT1KOAT.
The Next project Steering Committee Meeting will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia in April – May 2014.
MFMO, The Malta Furniture and Manufactures Organization, hosted the 2nd Consortium Meeting of the NEXT1KOAT project. Where results obtained during the first six months of the project were discussed amongst all the entities involved in the project and next activities were planned.
Yecla, 26th February 2013. CETEM, the Technical Research Centre for Furniture and wood based in Yecla, Murcia, Spain has been appointed as the coordinating body for the European Commission project named ‘NEXT1KOAT.’ NEXT1KOAT is concerned with the development of a novel high solids, water and bio based industrial wood coatings.
The project team held their first meeting in February 2013. Led by CETEM, the participating members are two Spanish and one German research and technological development organisations, three associations from Slovenia, Malta and England, thre SMEs from France, and Spain and a Big Slovenivan Enterprise.
Initially, the primary focus of the project is to identify the technical challenges and solutions required for the development of a wood coating that significantly reduces the environmental impact of the production process in the furniture and the woodworking industry.
NEXT1KOAT is being funded by the European Commission’s ‘Seventh Framework Programme’ and has a planned duration of three years.
